美國共和黨籍總統當選人川普成立政權交接團隊，他的3名成年子女和女婿也赫然入列，富商從政的他內舉不避親，做法引人側目，可能涉及利益衝突問題。但這也彰顯出，當選後，保守派各路人馬都亟思在新內閣人事及政策上影響他，川普最信任的畢竟還是自己人，要由自己人先幫他把關。
川普的交接團隊執行委員會共16名成員，川普長女伊凡卡、長子小唐納（Donald Jr.）、次子艾瑞克、以及伊凡卡的夫婿賈瑞德．庫許納（Jared Kushner）榜上有名。川普的子女皆高顏值，形象清新，選戰期間對他的加分自不在話下，女婿庫許納也是選戰數位媒體軍師，還幫忙撰寫岳父大人的演講稿、參與策劃川普的訪問行程等，受倚重可見一斑。
但川普的3名子女都在川普企業（Trump Organization）工作，女婿庫許納則和川普同為地產大亨，且是《紐約觀察家報》所有人，川普讓4人參與遴選新內閣成員，難脫利益衝突之嫌。川普曾宣布，若入主白宮，他的成年子女不會隨他到華府，其龐大家業會交付「盲目信託」（blind trust），由子女負責管理。但專家認為，這不符合盲目信託的要求標準。川普還沒走馬上任，讓子女進入交接團隊並未違法，若就職後任用子女或女婿等親戚擔任公職，才會違反1967年制定的《反裙帶關係法令》（Federal Anti-Nepotism Statute）。
明知會有利益衝突之嫌，川普仍要在遴選內閣成員過程中倚重子女及女婿，顯然是有信不過外人的問題。川普當選後，保守派陣營各路人馬求官者眾，又看準他對政策不甚了了，亟思影響他的未來路線，這時候他自然只能靠「自己人」先幫他把關。
