小熊隊外野手Matt Szczur（蘇爾）雖然都只是坐冷板凳，沒有上場比賽，但他卻成了小熊隊最受矚目的球員之一。
昨天的國家聯盟冠軍賽第4戰，小熊隊Anthony Rizzo單場5打數3安打、打下3打點，證明自己的身價。Rizzo能夠爆發打擊火力，主因是他向隊友Matt Szczur借了1支「魔棒」。
今天Szczur進一步爆料，不僅是Anthony Rizzo跟他借球棒，Addison Russell對他說昨天是穿著Szczur的內衣上場比賽，而且前往洛杉磯與道奇隊進行比賽之前，Russell還跟Szczur借了綁腿。結果，Russell今天在國聯冠軍賽第5戰6局上轟出2分全壘打，讓小熊隊取得3比1領先，只是不知Russell轟全壘打，是否與借用Szczur的東西有關。
隊史頻頻借用Szczur的東西，Szczur不僅沒生氣，還很感謝他們，他說我希望球隊能夠贏球，因此我也想盡己所能地有所貢獻。
